Clinical Psychologist

Mel is a Clinical Psychologist who offers psychotherapy to individuals and couples, creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space for growth and self-exploration.
Mel’s expertise includes supporting adults and young people through life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, anxiety and depression, along with processing trauma .
Trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Mel helps individuals explore their internal worlds, their patterns and the root causes of their struggles.
Mel is also trained in Level 3 Gottman Method couples therapy, helping couples navigate conflict and reconnect.

Mel provides face to face psychotherapy in our Sunbury clinic and is also available for online therapy for those who are unable to commute to our clinic. 

Emily McLoughlin

Clinical Psychologist

Emily is a clinical psychologist who works with adults and older adolescents experiencing emotional and life challenges, including anxiety, stress, chronic health conditions, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

Emily offers a calm, welcoming space for clients and prioritises an open, trusting therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. Emily draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Schema Therapy. She believes in the importance of understanding how early attachment patterns shape relationship patterns and emotional processes.

Emily has extensive experience working with individuals living with chronic or complex health issues and is passionate about supporting overall wellbeing. She has a strong interest in mindfulness and somatic-based practices that enhance mind–body awareness and support nervous system regulation.

Emily is a Board Approved Supervisor for psychologists completing training or seeking Clinical Endorsement.

Emily provides face-to-face psychotherapy in our Sunbury clinic and also offers online sessions for clients who cannot attend in person.

Amanda Borg

B. Nurse, RN, PostGrad Mental Health Nursing

Credentialed Mental Health Nurse

Amanda is a credentialed mental health nurse with over 15 years of experience as a therapist, supervisor, and educator in both public and private settings. She currently also works in mental health at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Amanda treats a range of mental health challenges from infancy to young and older adulthood, using therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, Yoga, and Mindfulness

Amanda provides face to face work in our Sunbury clinic and is also available for online therapy for those who are unable to commute to our clinic. 

Damon Lane

Counsellor (Placement)

Damon is currently completing a Diploma of Counselling and field placement. Damon has worked across a number of different sectors with people from all walks of life, which has shaped his approach to be a grounded, practical and approachable support person. Damon’s work is guided by empathy, directness and respect to support people to unpack what is going on for them and make meaningful change.

Damon welcomes clients of all ages and backgrounds but has a particular interest in working with young people aged 15+ and men, especially those from trade, labour or service backgrounds. Damon works with presenting difficulties of ADHD, alcohol and other drug use, binge eating, anger issues, impulsive behaviour, anxiety and depression.
